Well, well. Another long break Was preparing for college, actually. Tourism in Taylor's require us to wear formal clothing and that made me go shopping for suitable clothes. I bought some coats, blouses, pants and skirts mainly from 1 Utama.
12 of July- College started on this day. I went to college with formal attire feeling nervous but excited. Of course, I wore formally ( the first time after so long wearing office clothes made me feel not use to it). I went to a lecture hall which was the second one. Lecture halls and classrooms in TCHT are rather different. They name them according to name of existing hotels and travel agencies. So, this lecture hall was named after a reknowned tour and travel company called Accor. Went inside and was given my ID card and a file containing all the necessary information.
For consecutive days, we were given briefing on our course. Mr Pradeep Nair the COO for the school was really nice. He together with Ms. Cheng ( head for student services )have an outstanding personality. Really sporting! She gave us all new students her hp number!
Anyway, classes started on Wednesday. I have altogether six subjects to pass this term. English for College Studies, Computer Studies, Tourism and Travel Operations ( TIC, TA & Accomodation ) , Travel Geography, Business for Hospitality & Tourism and Proffesional Activities.
The lecturer's we have are very good ones. Can't deny their proffesionalism. Ms. Alice, who teaches us English is very jovial and interesting. So far the subject is not so challenging yet. We just had to write a few essays like we were in Form Five. Infact, just yesterday, we were given a British Comedy to watch and we have to do some acting next week. I think that is very good!
Besides, Tourism has become my favourite subject where Mr. Philip teaches. This man is the lecturer in charge for Tourism in the whole of TCHT. Soft-spoken and very experienced indeed.
Travel Geography is the other subject he is teaching us.
The funniest lecturer is Mr. Wong Kum Kit for Bussiness. He jokes in class most of the time and sometimes tells usnonsencical stuff. Wrhave the serious but quite nice Proffesional Activities's lecturer, Mr. Boey. The most serious guy is Mr Vicky for Computer Studies but he is very proffesional. A doctorate infact.
Okay. I have to go for class now. Will blog in future when I'm free. Bye. God bless u all.
